Kotor Pizzerias
Pizzerias in Kotor and around the bay
Pizza arrived in Kotor through the strong Italian and Adriatic-coast culinary thread that runs across the eastern Adriatic, most of the town's pizzerias trade on a Neapolitan or Italian-Adriatic style rather than American or chain-style formats. Wood-fired ovens are common at the longer-running spots inside the Old Town walls, where the ovens often sit visible behind the counter.
Outside the walls, the bay road north toward Dobrota and south toward Muo holds a string of more relaxed pizzerias, many with terraces over the water, that lean into casual all-day dining: pizza, pasta, salads, and a glass of Vranac. Lunch crowds peak at 13:00, 15:00 in summer, dinners run from 19:00 until late.
A medium pizza prices €6 to €10 in family-run local spots, €10 to €14 in the Old Town tourist core. Most pizzerias take takeaway and many will deliver to nearby apartments. Card payment is standard; cash is still preferred at smaller bay-village kitchens. Booking isn't usually needed outside July and August.
