Kotor Attractions
Attractions in Kotor spanning the medieval Old Town, the bay coastline, historic villages and the mountain landscape above the inner bay.
Attractions in Kotor are concentrated in the Old Town and spread outward along the bay and into the mountains above the town. The walled Old Town accounts for the majority of visitor time, with its medieval street plan, city walls, historic churches and main square offering a compact and largely car-free environment for exploration. Further along the bay, the villages of Dobrota, Prčanj and Perast carry their own architectural heritage, while the sea, accessible by boat, kayak and paddleboard, forms one of the most visited natural features of the municipality.
Most attractions in Kotor are accessible without pre-booking, and the Old Town is walkable from the main car parks and cruise port in under ten minutes. Guided tours of the Old Town, the city walls and the surrounding bay are available for visitors wanting structured access to the main sites. The area is at its quietest in spring and autumn, when the full range of attractions remains open but crowd levels are significantly lower than in peak summer.
