Kotor Fast Food
Fast food and takeaway in Kotor
Fast food in Kotor sits in two clusters: a string of takeaway counters along the bay road south of the Sea Gate (gyros, burek, kebab, fried fish boxes) and a few small spots inside the Old Town walls geared at lunch crowds and cruise passengers. The format is counter service rather than full restaurant, orders are wrapped for takeaway or eaten standing at a small counter ledge.
A typical takeaway plate runs €4 to €8: gyros wrap with chips and ayran around €5, burek slice with yoghurt around €3, fish-and-chips box around €7, pizza slice €2 to €3. Lunch peak is 12:00 to 15:00 (cruise crowds inside the walls), then a second peak from 19:00 onwards as locals come off work.
Most fast-food spots are cash-friendly though card readers are increasingly common. Burek bakeries open from 06:00 for the morning crowd; gyros counters from 11:00. Walking-while-eating is the norm, there's almost no seating at any of these places.
