Italian restaurants in Kotor reflect the long Adriatic culinary thread that runs through the Old Town and along the Boka Bay. The historic Italian-Venetian presence in the walled centre means most kitchens carry pasta, risotto and pizza on every menu, often as a baseline of the offer rather than a separate Italian section. Dedicated Italian-style trattorias sit inside the Old Town and along the bay road through Dobrota and Muo.

Hand-rolled pasta, wood-fired pizza and Adriatic seafood prepared in an Italian way, like grilled fish with olive oil and herbs or fish risotto with squid ink, are the recurring features.
