Taste wine inside Sipcanik’s underground cellar

The route starts at Plantaze’s Sipcanik cellar near Podgorica, created inside a former military aircraft tunnel. A guided tasting introduces Krstac, Kratosija and Vranac Pro Corde. Allow approximately one hour for the visit.

The accompanying bruschetta platter brings together Njegusi cheese, prosciutto, olive spread, dried figs and prunes, walnuts, tomatoes and homemade bread. This first stop pairs the setting of a large wine producer with an introduction to local grape varieties.

Meet the family at Zenta Vucinic

The second winery offers a smaller, family-run setting among the vineyards. Taste Chardonnay, Cabernet Sauvignon rose and Vranac, paired with prosciutto, local cheese, olives and homemade bread. The programme allows about an hour here, including time to learn about the family’s winemaking.

Finish at Purple Eye Estate

At the final family estate, the tasting includes a Vranac and Kratosija red blend, Zilavka white wine, homemade Srcanik rakija and local honey. The meze includes prosciutto, salami, cheeses, crushed olives, fresh bread, homemade biscuits and seasonal specialities. Approximately an hour is set aside for the visit.

Across the three wineries, the programme introduces six grape varieties, including Montenegro’s Vranac, Kratosija and Krstac. Food pairings are included at each stop; a separate lunch and extra drinks are excluded. The visits combine guided tasting with introductions to local food, production methods and family traditions.
