Port of Kotor
Kotor Cruise Ship Schedule2026
Kotor is one of the Mediterranean's easiest port days. Ships tie up on the quay a few steps from the medieval ramparts, so you are inside the UNESCO-listed Old Town within minutes of walking off, with no tender or shuttle to queue for. Most calls give you 10 to 13 hours ashore, enough for the town itself plus a boat trip or a drive up into the mountains. On a peak summer day up to four ships share the port, so the walls and the fortress steps are quietest first thing in the morning.
Schedule last updated 1 July 2026. Dates are indicative; confirm with your cruise line before travel.

A typical Kotor call lasts around ten hours, so a hire car is another way to see the bay and beyond on your own. Kotor Port is a listed pickup place at Kotor Car Rental; each car shows handover places and any fee before booking.
Day in Kotor
Making the most of your port day
A typical 10-hour call is enough to see Kotor at an unhurried pace: wander the marble lanes and squares, step into the Cathedral of St Tryphon, and climb the walls to St John's Fortress for the view back over the bay, with time left for lunch by the water. Prefer to be out on the water? A half-day boat trip to Perast and the island church of Our Lady of the Rocks still leaves a comfortable margin before all-aboard. On a short call of six hours or less, stay inside the walls and save the fortress climb for a longer visit.

- Docking
- Ships berth alongside the quay at the Port of Kotor, beside the Old Town walls. You walk straight off; no tender or shuttle.

- Land Gate in 5 min; Cathedral of St Tryphon in 10 min. The Old Town is compact and entirely walkable, with nothing inside that needs a taxi
- All-aboard
- Be back at the gangway around 30 minutes before your posted departure. Confirm the exact time before you leave the ship
- Climbing the Fortress
- Around 1,350 steps up to St John's (San Giovanni), roughly a 50-minute climb. Entry is €15 in season, so carry a little cash and go early before the midday heat
