Follow the old town from square to square

Meet at Kotor’s Sea Gate or another agreed meeting point in town. The walk begins with the walls, gates and Square of Arms before moving through the old town’s churches and former aristocratic residences. Your guide introduces the buildings through their history and the stories associated with them.

Alongside St Tryphon’s Cathedral, St Luke’s Church and Napoleon’s Theatre, the route covers the Bizanti, Beskuca, Buca and Pima palaces. Grgurina Palace, now home to the Maritime Museum, the former prison and the cats’ square by St Osanna’s Church are also described along the walk. These passing stops do not imply museum admission. Cathedral admission is included. This is a walking experience within Kotor, rather than a road tour around the wider bay.

Allow time beyond the guided walk

The sample itinerary leaves a period for an optional St Giovanni Fortress climb. You do not have to climb to join the tour. Discuss that part of the schedule with Caeli if you would prefer to remain in the old town or have questions about the walking involved.

Allow approximately four hours for the complete experience. Confirm your meeting time and any changes to the sample programme when booking.

Finish with lunch and local flavours

Food forms a substantial part of the visit. The programme includes a Mediterranean lunch, a local cake and a drink, with the final stop described as an old-town pub. It is more than a quick walk followed by a single tasting.

A glass of wine, beer or a soft drink is offered in the published description; additional drinks are excluded. Mention any dietary requirements in your request.
