Kotor Tourist information

Kotor Tourist Info Centres

The official Kotor Tourist Information centre operates from a kiosk on the Old Town seafront, providing visitor guidance, event listings, transport advice and information on the bay-wide resident tax.

The main info point is on Trg od Oružja just inside the Sea Gate, with a satellite kiosk by the cruise terminal during peak season. Staff handle queries on bus and ferry timetables, the Lovćen serpentine bus, walking routes around the city walls, parking around the Old Town, and the procedure for paying the boravišna taksa (tourist tax) that applies to overnight stays. They also stock printed maps of the Bay of Kotor, the Old Town and the marked hiking trails behind San Giovanni fortress.

The office is the contact point for the regional tourist board, so it's also where to report a damaged signpost on the city walls trail, ask which museums are open out of season, or check whether a particular church will be open for a visit. Multilingual staff cover English, Italian, Russian and German.

Opening hours run roughly 08:00 to 20:00 in summer (May to October) and shorter hours in winter, with full closure on the major Catholic and Orthodox holidays. The kiosk takes no booking commission and does not sell tours, so the recommendations are independent of the operators around the bay.
