Kotor Guest houses
Guesthouses in Kotor and the Bay
Guesthouses across the Bay of Kotor are mostly family-run buildings of 4 to 12 rooms, with the family living on-site or nearby and managing reception, breakfast, cleaning and direct guest service. The format is more personal than a hotel and more service-included than an apartment, most guesthouses cover linen, daily tidy, breakfast on request, and local advice as standard.
Inside the Old Town walls, guesthouses are typically housed in restored stone buildings with stair-only access (no lifts) and small but characterful rooms. Along Dobrota, Muo and Prčanj on the bay road, guesthouses are larger and quieter, often with garden seating or a small pool.
Rates run €50 to €100 per night for a private room with shared bathroom, €70 to €150 for a private room with en-suite. Breakfast is sometimes included, sometimes €5 to €10 extra. Free WiFi, air conditioning, towels and linen are standard. Most guesthouses prefer cash payment and won't bill cards directly, confirm in advance if needed.
