Kotor Bed and breakfast

Bed and breakfast (B&B) stays in the Bay of Kotor occupy the middle ground between an apartment rental and a hotel — the room is private but the setting is family-run and the breakfast is included. Most B&Bs in the area are converted family homes, typically inside or just outside the Old Town walls or along the bay villages of Dobrota and Prčanj.

Rates run €60 to €120 per night for a double room with breakfast included, depending on season and bay view. Hosts are usually present and serve a cooked or continental breakfast at a fixed time window in a shared dining room or kitchen. Local pastries (krofne, sirnica), seasonal fruit, eggs and Turkish-style coffee are common; vegetarian and gluten-free requests are usually accommodated with a day's notice.

Beyond the breakfast, the value of a B&B in Kotor is the hosts themselves — they tend to be a quicker source of restaurant recommendations, hike directions and pickup tips than any hotel concierge. Most B&Bs handle bookings directly by email or WhatsApp; cards are accepted at most but cash is still preferred.
