Mövenpick Hotel & Residences Teuta Kotor Bay
Five-star resort on the Risan Carine shore. Hotel rooms, branded residences, private beach and the Trivona Wellness Center.
The Mövenpick opened on the Risan Carine shoreline on the site of the former Hotel Teuta, bringing five-star resort infrastructure to the quietest stretch of Boka Bay.

“The deepest water on Boka Bay is here. So is the deepest quiet.”
Risan Carine

Risan sits at the innermost point of Boka Bay, where the water narrows and the mountains rise steeply from both shores. The settlement is among the oldest on the bay, with Roman mosaics from the 1st and 2nd centuries preserved in the town centre. The Carine shore runs east of Risan along the base of the mountain walls, quieter than the stretch between Kotor and Perast and outside the cruise traffic that concentrates at the old town. Perast is eight kilometres to the west; Kotor is 22 kilometres.
The hotel occupies the site of the former Hotel Teuta, a name carried forward in the full property title. The Mövenpick brand, owned by Accor and associated with Swiss hospitality standards, operates the complex as a combination of hotel rooms and branded residences set across several blocks behind the shoreline road. The mix of room types and apartment configurations makes the property suitable for both short stays and longer visits through the season. The branded residences are also sold separately as freehold units, with international sales handled by Savills.
Trivona Wellness Center

The Trivona Wellness Center is the property's dedicated wellness facility. Its centrepiece is an indoor heated pool, 10.3 by 17.4 metres at 1.3 metres deep, open year-round as a temperature-controlled alternative when the outdoor pools and private beach are out of season. The thermal circuit follows the traditional European progression: tepidarium, sauna, steam room, hammam, with experience showers at the end.
Treatment rooms cover the standard range of massages and body and facial therapies, bookable through the front desk. A Technogym-equipped fitness centre adjoins the spa and is included in guest access without a separate fee. The Trivona is open to all hotel guests and residence owners. Reflexology sits alongside the massage and skincare lines on the treatment menu. Bookings can be made at the front desk or by phone ahead of arrival, with the summer season filling earliest.
Sea view or mountain view, depending which way you wake up.
The stay
The accommodation spans four categories across 13 configurations. Classic Rooms run at 30 square metres in both mountain-view and sea-view arrangements, with single and double-bed options in each. The Superior Room steps up to 38 square metres. The Deluxe Room Sea View reaches 44 square metres and sleeps up to five. The Penthouse covers 125 square metres with its own private rooftop pool and accommodates seven. The apartment range begins at 46 square metres for a one-bedroom unit and reaches 124 square metres in the three-bedroom configuration; sea-view versions are available across all apartment sizes. One accessible room is available.
Breakfast is served as a buffet with local produce, international options and made-to-order dishes alongside bay views. Weddings and private events are arranged through the front desk.
The property

The shore

The private sandy beach is exclusively for hotel guests, with complimentary sunbeds, umbrellas and direct access to the water and the promenade. The outdoor pools sit between the hotel blocks and the shore, facing across the bay toward the mountains on the opposite side; heated and open through the warm months, with the Trivona indoor pool taking over in shoulder seasons. The garden and pier extend along the water's edge and host weddings and private events: the pier directly over the bay, the garden on the level ground between the hotel and the promenade. Both look west toward Perast, eight kilometres away, where the open bay begins. From this position the inner Boka closes in on three sides; the water sits flat for most of the day, and the quiet is the part that stays with you. By dusk the bay turns to glass, and across the water the lights of Perast come on one by one. In winter the shore reverts to the village; for the rest of the year, it stays open to guests through the day.
