Drago Palace
Medieval residential building in Kotor Old Town among the oldest preserved structures dating to the early construction phase.

Baroque historic site in Kotor Old Town
Drago Palace is one of the oldest preserved buildings in Kotor Old Town, dating to the medieval period and representing an early phase of residential construction within the walled town. The building features heavy stone walls, a carved entrance and window details that predate much of the later Venetian-era construction visible elsewhere in the Old Town. Its survival through centuries of earthquakes and conflict makes it a significant example of early domestic architecture. The palace is associated with the Drago family, among the historical noble lineages of Kotor.
The building stands within the pedestrian streets of the Old Town and can be viewed from the surrounding lanes. Its facade retains original medieval stonework that distinguishes it from later Baroque and Renaissance palaces nearby. Interior access depends on the current use of the structure. The palace contributes to the layered architectural record of Kotor, which spans from the medieval period through to the nineteenth century. It forms part of the UNESCO-listed historic core and is within walking distance of the main squares and churches.
