15th-century church in Kotor Old Town

The Church of Our Lady of Remedy is a small hilltop church situated on the fortification walls above Kotor Old Town, approximately halfway up the trail to the San Giovanni fortress. The church is built into the defensive wall structure and dates to the 15th century. The simple stone facade features a small bell tower and an entrance facing the bay. The interior is modest in scale, with a single nave and a traditional altar. Views from the church terrace look across the Old Town rooftops and the inner bay.

The church is reached on foot via the fortress stairway from inside the Old Town walls. The climb takes approximately twenty to thirty minutes from the Sea Gate at a moderate pace. The church is often a rest stop for visitors continuing to the fortress at the summit. No separate entry fee is charged for the church itself, though the fortress trail may require a ticket during peak season. The site suits visitors interested in religious heritage and the defensive architecture of the Kotor walls.
