Pharmacies in Kotor and the bay
Pharmacies (apoteke) sit between the Old Town, the Dobrota road, Tivat, Perast and the smaller bay villages. The day-to-day chains Benu, Goran and Galen Pharma operate most outlets, with a handful of independents in Skaljari and Risan.
Standard hours run 08:00 to 21:00 weekdays, with reduced Saturday and shorter Sunday opening. The night-duty pharmacy (dezurna apoteka) rotates weekly between the larger Kotor and Tivat outlets and is the only pharmacy open after 21:00. The duty list is posted on the Tourist Information board on Trg od Oruzja and inside each pharmacy window.
Common UK and EU OTC brands are stocked under generic names; staff in the Kotor and Tivat outlets typically speak English. EU prescriptions are usually filled subject to availability; controlled substances need a Montenegrin prescription.
