Around the Bay

From the walled Old Town of Kotor out to Perast, Dobrota, Muo and the villages that ring the Bay of Kotor.

The Bay of Kotor is a deep fjord-like inlet on Montenegro's Adriatic coast, ringed by walled medieval towns and quiet villages. Kotor itself anchors the eastern shore, a UNESCO-listed walled city enclosed by fortifications that climb 280 metres to the fortress of San Giovanni. Perast sits opposite the islands of Our Lady of the Rocks and St George on the northern shore, its single kilometre of waterfront lined with baroque palaces. Dobrota, Prčanj, Muo and Ljuta hold the stretches between, each a ribbon of waterfront and churches built during the bay's maritime era. Each place below links to the restaurants, accommodation, boat tours and services within it.
