Description:
Spomenik Palim Za Slobodu is a memorial monument located in Freedom Park in Kotor. It commemorates local citizens who lost their lives during World War II between 1941 and 1945.
The monument is defined by a sculptural relief running along its base, created by Montenegrin artist Luka Tomanović, with architectural design support from Vojislav Dukić. The inscription “Palim za slobodu” (“Fallen for Freedom”) is carved prominently, marking both the purpose of the monument and the historical period it represents.
Serving as a place of remembrance, the site reflects the wartime history of Kotor and stands as a permanent public tribute to sacrifice, resistance, and the impact of the Second World War on the local community.
