Saint Tryphon Cathedral is located in the centre of Kotor’s Old Town and represents one of the most significant medieval monuments on the eastern Adriatic coast.
The cathedral was consecrated in 1166 and dedicated to Saint Tryphon, the patron saint of Kotor, whose relics are preserved inside the building.
Architectural features include a Romanesque stone façade, twin bell towers, and an interior containing frescoes, altars, and a treasury of liturgical artefacts and reliquaries.
The structure forms part of the UNESCO-protected Old Town ensemble and serves as both an active cathedral and a key cultural site within the historic urban fabric.
