Kotor Clock Tower stands on Trg od Oružja, the central square at the main entrance to the Old Town.
The tower was constructed in the early 17th century during Venetian rule and incorporates a mechanical clock that has defined public timekeeping in the town for centuries.
Its stone structure includes a visible tilt, resulting from historical earthquakes, which has become one of its defining physical characteristics.
The tower functions as both a navigational reference point and a focal element of the Old Town’s historic urban layout, surrounded by civic buildings, cafés, and pedestrian routes.
